Many thanks for my DVD's which were safely received on Saturday. I had no idea what the footage on the original reels was of however, afer watching it, I cant believe they have come out so well as some are at least 40 years old. I cant wait to see my mums face when I give it to her for her birthday, im sure she will be shocked/excited seeing herself running around on the screen as a little 10 year old. Thank you for the DVDs which I received yesterday. We have watched the entire programme and I have to say that we are absolutely delighted with the result. We left you to choose appropriate music for each section and we both agree that you could not have done better. In particular, the moving song that you used as we drove off to our honeymoon brought tears to Chris's eyes.

This 40-year-old cine footage of some of our family's most precious moments has now come to life all over again. You will remember that the DVD is to be a present for my mother on her 90th birthday this weekend. I know she will love it and I suspect there won't be a dry eye in the house.

Just a quick note to say that the DVDs which Timeless Moments created from my Grandfather's old cine reels were absolutely superb and my Mum was especially glad to see the old images brought back to life - never knew there were so many tears in the lady! Given the age of the cines the quality of the images is amazing. The presentation quality of the DVDs and the packaging alone was extremely professional and the images so well chosen. If I find any more cines lurking in lost cupboards I will be sure to get back in touch and in the meantime will carry on recommending Timeless Moments to others.

We have now watched the DVD's and they are "Absolutely Brilliant". The focus is spot on, all the time, and the accompanying music is really appropiate to the scenes being shown, in particular the F1 Grand Prix signature tune for our lad when he was on the kiddies Go- kart's, and the Wild Animal music themes for our foray into the local Safari Park.

Thank you for your email, sorry it has taken a while to get back to you, we are too busy watching the dvd's!! Our dvd's arrived safely on Friday 2 May.

We are really pleased with the results, they are better than we even hoped for. The dvd cases are lovely with the still photos on and the stills you have chosen are brilliant. I'm particularly touched that you chose two photos of me and my father on the wedding one, as he is no longer with us and it means alot to me to have his photo on the case.

We have watched both dvd's twice already and had many laughs and some tears at the memories. The main reason for having the cine film one done was for Rob's mums 60th which is in a couple of weeks, so we can't wait to see her face when she opens the dvd, we know it will mean alot to her to finally have the cine film on dvd.

The speech enhancement on the wedding speeches has really made a difference as they were really quiet before, so thank you for suggesting that.

We cannot thank you enough for the throughly professional job you have done and the speed in which you have done it. We know both dvd's will be watched for years to come and enjoyed by both families. We will certainly recommend you to others.

Sorry it's taken a few days to get back to you. It goes without question to say that my mother loved the DVDs, in fact, i don't think it would be an exaggeration to say she was overwhelmed. There were tears and hysteria - and that was just when she saw the covers of the DVD boxes! It had been a complete surprise to her, she hadn't realised we'd stolen the reels from the top of the wardrobe! When we watched some of the clips on the television, she was absolutely overjoyed. To be able to bring back such special memories for her was a privilege. The quality of the films was superb; I had been worried about the clarity, the colour and the sound from such old cine reels, but you had done a fantastic job and we really couldn't have hoped for a better end result. I also have to pass comment on the wonderful customer service I received - since my initial enquiry, your replies have been prompt and reassuring, and I felt at times that the project was almost as important to you as it was to our family. Thanks a lot for getting the dvd out to me on time and for the replacement disc. The videos were great, I’m surprised they came out as well as they did and it was a good choice of music to go with the footage. I don’t think anyone had seen all the cine films before, definitely not for a long time anyway. The camera shake towards the end of the footage was due to the camera going – it broke around 1984 which is why we don’t have any films after that.

In all thanks for a great service, although embarrassingly it’s me on the front of the case wearing a pink dress!

I have just received the DVD and have watched it and despite the fact that many were taken in a dark environment I am absolutely delighted with it. I have laughed and cried and there were so many memories that I had forgotten about. I truly cannot wait to show the kids this on Xmas day and they too will be delighted - I forgot how 'smiley' my son and daughter were!!!!! Im also amazed at the pictures you put on the cover - they are just perfect. Funnily enough when I went to pick it up at the post office today I was hopping from foot to foot with excitement and got speaking to the woman beside me. I Have several larger reels from the 70's, all very precious to our family, I will contact you after the 18th January ( dissertation hand in date, busy till then ) to discuss transferring to DVD, will probably have a run over to Ilkeston with them rather than posting if that's OK.

HI - Yes, I should have written earlier, forgive me. I watched it through once in its entirety, and then posted it straight off, as it has to get to Norway in good time for Christmas. I was quite happy with it, especially given the poor quality of some of the original material. Just a note to let you have my reactions after the first viewing of the Cine Transfer which arrived Monday afternoon.

The transfer seems to me to have been a success and the family are delighted with the results. Some of the more pleasing aspects of the finished DVD were - The choice of background music which was carefully chosen to match the changing mood of the film clips. - The selection of still photo's for the sleeve cover design was great, I was a little concerned about how you were going to select these, but someone at your end has managed to select only my family members. How this was done without prior knowledge from 40/50 year old cine film I don't know, well done.

In conclusion I would like to thank you and your team for a professional job very well done. All I can say is "You have helped to preserve some of our families special moments in time, into Timeless Moments" Thank You.

I was more than impressed with the quality of the copy. I hadn't been expecting it to be that good. You, or your staff, also did an excellent job transferring films from those really badly exposed or deteriorated films.

My wife had initially wanted no added sound track as she thought it would be the same boring music I usually add to slide shows. But I persuaded her to let you add the music and we are both pleased that you did. You have selected tunes that go very well with the subjects and it adds a lot to the viewing experience.

We have really enjoyed seeing our films again. We had forgotten what was on a lot of the films and have had a great deal of amusement from them. Our children will hate us when we show them the films from their childhood!

Although Timeless Memories was more expensive than some other companies we are very pleased we selected you. You are well worth the money as you have taken such a lot of care over the work. We will be recommending you to our friends who all say that they too want to do a similar exercise.

I have just had a chance to import the DVD into Pinnacle and taken a look at the footage. The footage looks superb! Many thanks for your most helpful email. I have now sorted out the problem and made a start correcting the colour casts.

Just for information, I had been running Studio 9 but changed to Studio 11 when I upgraded to a new computer running Windows Vista ( 9 was not compatible!). So thanks again for pointing me in the right direction I look forward to editing all those early childhood memories for my now grown-up kids.

Well we got there in the end Ian. We “toured” Bangkok last night. Thank goodness you sorted out our footage as I think Dudley would have despaired had he tried to transfer it himself. We are so grateful to you for the excellent job you have done. There is a certain irony that the camera sorted itself out later in the holiday after it had made a pig’s ear of Sydney and the start of the Great Ocean Road. We were particularly thrilled with the footage at Milford Sound for, believe me, we have never experienced such sustained rain and the experience really comes across well. Eleven inches of rain fell on that overnight trip!

We have learned much from this experience. A decent camera will make a difference in the future. Thank you for the pointers.

Our middle son was riveted by the footage of himself as a young child.

I can see that I'm going to have many hours of fun (or is that blood sweat and tears?) deciding what makes a worthwhile film. I'm already playing with Premiere Elements and it seems to do most of what I want to do. It's a steep learning curve.
