Most of our customers are people like you looking to transfer their family memories to DVD. We also transfer for the BBC, ITV, The Ministry of Defence, Spirit of the Dance, amongst many others. We are currently commissioned to transfer both 8 and 16 mm films for the BBC’s series Preserving the Past and Inside Out.

Whoever you are, family or multinational the same state of the art Telecine and TBC transfer decks are used to ensure the absolute best possible transfer. And don’t forget one very important point: all our transfers are fully edited for no extra charge, the only company in the UK to include this service in their standard transfer. This is very important as the amount of extra work is extraordinary compared to a simple capture. The only reason we can do this is that from day one it was our philosophy to offer the best or to not bother. We are now geared up correctly to provide this exceptional level of work at a very reasonable price, whilst others will charge you the same or more for a project that isn’t edited or remastered. I have now had time to view quite a lot of the 5,500 feet of cine film which you transferred to DVD.

I’m sure you would like to know that I am delighted with the results you and your team have achieved. The quality of the images is very good, bearing in mind the original shortcomings of the film you had to work with, some of which went back more than 75 years. You managed to interpret my intentions very successfully so that my father’s films fitted nicely on a 2 x DVD pack and so did my films; and the titles couldn’t be better. I thought the music accompaniment was pretty good despite the reservations you may have had when the length of film exhausted your stock of Egyptian and Far Eastern music! And finally the labelling of the DVDs and the cases successfully presents and completes a very professional job.

It took me a long time getting round to initiating the project so when there were minor delays at your end I was quite happy to sit back and endorse your philosophy that quality should not be sacrificed for speed. I was also grateful for your advice and explanations in the early stages before placing an order.

Thank you very much for my project back. I am really pleased with the results and considering the poor quality of the original films I think you have practically worked a miracle! The extra enhancements to the DVD really do make a difference to the finished product and are well worth paying the extra.

Sorry, Ian,

My mum had a very minor stroke just before Easter and so I’ve had my mind on other things. However she seems fine now – completely recovered as far as I can tell. I took the DVD up to her and she was utterly delighted as she watched it. I’ll send off the cheque today.

Ian The parcel arrived today and I am very pleased with the result - the quality is much better 1000% and the music does add to it, well done. I am glad I got the extra drive too, I could do a shortened version when I am feeling strong.

What a wonderful job you have done, the music as well I cannot thank you enough.

The photo you have chosen for the cover is brilliant me and my mum, she now lives in a nursing home as she has Alzheimer’s and does not remember much at all.

Just a quick note to thank you for the DVD of my fathers cine films which arrived safely on Thursday as promised. He is absolutely delighted. We are all very impressed with the excellent presentation and great production, with a very tasteful and appropriate choice of music for each reel. Overall, a highly professional service and product.

It is something of a leap of faith when selecting someone from the internet and entrusting them with unique family memories, but you have certainly won my confidence and can expect some further reels from me shortly. My wife and I have viewed all the film now and we are delighted with it. I had forgotten that she always looked as though she had only just had her hair done! It is noticeable how the picture colour quality improved as the film progressed through the years.

Dear Ian,

Apologies for the delayed reply - we received the DVDs successfully. They all looked fantastic! We have spent the last month editing in to a short film for my Grandmothers 100th birthday - hence the delayed response! It was a great surprise for relatives to see the film after such a long time!!

We now have an Elmo projector (and Eumig camera) that are redundant and so want to get rid of them to create some space in our flat! Do you know of anywhere good to sell this kind of thing? We may just try ebay, but thought that you may know of somewhere specialist?

When we got back to Bedford with our precious cargo of films and DVD's yesterday we straight away put the first one on to view the results.
